Excellent
Excellent explanation of the hip flexor and lower abdominals coordination! Some exercises were new to me, what is more, my clients love them. They can easily feel lower abdominals. Fantastic reminder for me as a trainer.
Nice, what a great course
One of my favorite courses that always leaves me (and my clients) sore for a couple of days in the lower abdominals. The session starts with a recap of the hip flexor and abdominal coordination and then shows 13 exercises specifically for the lower abdominals increasing in intensity with a recommended number of repetitions. Just like all of the Of-course online courses, great importance is placed on anatomy, open and closed chain progressions, proper alignment and typical compensations that can occur. You can easily repeat this course and do the exercises along with the student as Tanya teaches which is what I do in order to remember the amazing cueing.
Love it, not BORING
Love, love, love Tanya. Her style of teaching had me at hello. Confession, I’m a studio owner and teacher that has never enjoyed anatomy until now. I do adore teaching and helping others. It is my passion. Really enjoying these small bite courses that fit into my schedule. This lower abdominal activation course is awesome. Learned a few more techniques. Can’t wait to take another course!
Thank you, very helpful.
My first course with of-course-online and won’t be my last!
Found the content to be extremely helpful. Loved the cues, hints and tips. Great course and would highly recommend to use within your practise/instructing.
Overview
This course is designed to teach you a full exercise program that will help your client strengthen the lower area of the abdominals efficiently without any compensations. You will learn techniques to successfully activate and strengthening the lower abdominal area with the use of closed-chain, open-chain, and full spinal range of movement. Clients find it easier to feel their upper Rectus Abdominus, but the lower area is often underworked, and the mind-body connection is poor. This course will get the entire Abdominal area to work from the rib cage to the pubic symphysis.
Lower abdominal activation is felt to different degrees in this course whereby there is a build-up of activation versus strength training and mobility. It forms a vital part of any exercise training, and it encourages better hip and lumbar spinal control.
